Spudman Triathlon Info



The swim is current aided. Water temperature averages 68-71 degrees. Wetsuits are NOT required. The swim begins at Riverfront Park by the Burley boat docks and ends at Scholar Park by the Burley/Heyburn bridge. Distance: 1.5K


The bike course is fairly flat loop with just a few rollers. Race elevation is 4250'. Air temperature averages 51-84 degree. Distance: 40K


The loop begins with a short steep hill and then levels to a mostly flat course. The run is on country roads and canal banks. The course is 70% asphalt, 30% gravel. Distance 10K


  • Bike helmet required
  • No floatation devices or snorkels
  • No Drafting - 2 min penalty per offence
  • No Earbuds or head phones – 2 min penalty
  • No Tandem Bikes


Packet Pick-up / Check-in
Friday 3PM - 9PM

Race packets will be handed out on Friday before the race from 3:00pm to 9:00pm at Riverfront Park at the Burley Golf Course. (Google Maps)
Packets not picked up on Friday will be available Saturday morning until 6:30am. All participants (including all team members) will be required to bring photo ID. Team members will be required to sign a liability waiver to participate. Notarized letters will not be accepted to pick up race packets. The packet will be given to the last team member that checks in.

Rack your bike
Friday 3PM - 9PM

You can drop your bike off on Friday night between 3:00PM and 9:00PM. You can also drop them off on Saturday morning from 6:00AM - 6:45AM. T1 closes at 6:45AM sharp. No bikes will be allowed in after 6:45AM on Saturday. Bikes are locked up and secured overnight.

No Carbo Dinner this year

There will not be a carbo dinner this year.

Guest Speaker - Friday 7PM

Pre-race Meeting
Friday before the guest speaker

A pre-race meeting will be held to cover race details and safety information. This will take place before the guest speaker.

Packet Pick-up/Rack your bike
Saturday morning before 6:45AM

For those that can't make it on Friday, packet pick-up will be available Saturday morning around 5:45AM until 6:45AM. You can also rack your bike before 6:45AM, but it is recommended to get this done on Friday as Saturday morning is very hectic with traffic and race prep.

Race begins
Saturday 6:50AM

Waves start every ten minutes with Wave 1 starting at 6:50AM and the final Wave 8 starts at 8:00AM. Age divisions will be assigned to a wave and these will be posted a week before the race. Times will be posted at packet pickup and each wave will have its own swim cap color. Bike must be racked by 6:45AM. T1 closes at 6:45AM sharp. The Sprint starts at 8:30AM.

Awards Ceremony
As soon as possible following the race

The awards ceremony will immediately follow the race. First, second, and third place ceramic Spudman trophies will be awarded to each age division. Race results will be available at the stage and on the website.
